Whether you choose 1-on-1 or semi-private training, our goal is the same — to help you move better, get stronger, and feel more confident in a structured and supportive environment.

We work with all fitness levels and tailor your training based on your goals, experience, and any limitations.

Your First Class

  • Starts with a call or visit where we discuss your goals, experience, and any injuries

  • Our first session involves test and going over fundamental strength training

  • Introduction to key movements and equipment

  • A clear plan on how to move forward

No experience needed. We’ll guide you every step of the way.

What to Bring​​

  • Comfortable workout clothes

  • separate Indoor/clean shoes

  • Water bottle

How Training Works​​

  • You’ll follow a structured program designed for you

  • Progress is tracked and adjusted over time

  • Coaches provide guidance, corrections, and progression

  • Sessions are designed to challenge you at your level

1-on-1 vs Semi-Private

  • 1-on-1 Training: Fully dedicated coaching for the entire session, schedule at your desired time and day

  • Semi-Private (4:1): Your own custom program in a small group setting with shared coaching, regular scheduled times during the week and weekend

Both options are personalized — the difference is in coaching style and environment.

Jimmy’s Athletics offers personal training in Toronto, including 1-on-1 coaching and semi-private training in the Annex near Bathurst Station.

What's the main difference between 1-on-1 and semi-private training?

1-on-1 training gives you a coach’s full attention for the entire session.

Semi-private training allows you to follow your own program in a small group (up to 4 people), with a coach rotating to guide and support you.

What is the cost?

I'm new to working out—where

should I start?

Either option works. Many beginners start with 1-on-1 sessions, but semi-private is also beginner-friendly with coach support throughout.

How often should I train?

Most members see great results training 2–3 times per week.

How do I get started?

Book a consultation or trial session and we’ll guide you into the right program.

Is semi-private training still

personalized?

Yes. Each person follows their own program based on their goals and level — it’s not a group workout.

Which option is better for me?

If you want full attention and guidance throughout, 1-on-1 is the best fit.


If you’re comfortable training more independently and want a more flexible, cost-effective option, semi-private is a great choice.
